John Patrick "Pat" O'Connor, 85, Loretto, Tenn., died Monday Feb. 7, 2000, in Horizon Medical Center, Ashland City, Tenn., after an extended illness.
He was born in Lawrence County, Tenn., and was a retired postal worker. He was a member of Loretto Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Adams and Rose Wiggerman O'Connor; wife, Margaret Mary Hemmen O'Connor; two daughters, Janice Marie O'Connor and Judy Ann O'Connor; and sister, Mary Neidert.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. today at Loretto Memorial Chapel with prayer service at 7 p.m. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at Loretto Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Officiating at the service will be Father Cletus.
Survivors include two sons, John Patrick O'Connor Jr., Memphis, Tenn., Joseph Hemmen O'Connor, Florence, Ala., four daughters, Margaret Rose O'Connor, Nashville, Tenn., Jane Miklich, Ashland City, Tenn., Mary Ann Odem, Florence, Ala., Bridget Tidwell, Nashville, Tenn.; brother. William "Bill" O'Connor, Loretto, Tenn.; sisters, Mildred Kerstiens, Loretto, Tenn., Jennie Kollefrath, Loretto, Tenn.; six grandchildren.
