TEMPE

Rosary for Donald G. Salz, 48, a mining supply salesman for the Pratt - Gilbert Co., will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N, Hayden, Scottsdale.

Funeral Mass will be said at 9 a.m. tomorrow in St. Daniel Catholic Church, 1030 N. Hayden, Scottsdale. Burial will be in Green Acres Cemetery.

Mr. Salz, 1602 N. Sunset Drive, was killed in a plane crash Saturday 4 miles west of Castle Hot Springs. Born in Waterloo, Iowa, he came to Tempe six years ago from Dubuque, Iowa. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; two sons, Andy and Greg; three daughters, Debbie, Donna and Mary Salz, all of Tempe; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Salz, a brother, Joseph and a sister, Annette Salz, all of Phoenix; and two sisters out of state.

DONALD SALZ

Services for Donald Salz, 47, are pending in Phoenix, Ariz, where he had made his home he past eight years. He is a former Waterloo resident.
Mr. Salz died Saturday in a small plane crash 25 miles outside of Phoenix in which the other passenger, the pilot, was also killed. The plane was found Sunday.
Mr. Salz was born in Waterloo in 1923 to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Salz, now of Phoenix, who survive him. The family moved to Dubuque while he was in high school. He was a salesman in Phoenix.
His other survivors include his wife and five children, Deborah, Donna, Andrew, Mary Virginia and Gregory, all at home; three sisters, a missionary nun in Pakistan, Annette of Phoenix, and Mrs. J. P. Green of Dubuque; a brother, Joseph of Phoenix.
