Rita M. Badger, 77, of Mesa, Ariz., died Saturday, Jan. 18, 1997.

She was born Feb. 16, 1919, in Fairbanks, Iowa, to Martin and Susan (Tschanhenz) Trebon.

Rita, with her husband of 56 years, Dorwin, has been a winter resident of Mesa, Ariz., during the past 18 years. They spent the summers in Pequot Lake, Minn.

Prior to retiring in 1977, Rita and her family resided in Eau Claire, where she worked for Sears for 22 years.

In addition to her husband, Rita is survived by her daughter, Darlene (Calvin) Atkinson of Mesa, Ariz.; two sons, David (Mary) Badger of Pequot Lakes, Minn., and Thomas (Pamela) Badger of Maple Valley, Wash.; a brother, Bernard Trebon of Mesa; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; two brothers; and two grandsons.

Visitation was at Mountain View Memorial Gardens with funeral Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church in Mesa, followed by a luncheon on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
