Betty J. Townsend, 91, of Dunedin, Fla., formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, Feb. 15, at Woodside Hospice House, Dunedin.

She was born March 5, 1916, in Waterloo, daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Crinion Trebon. She married William E. Townsend on May 4, 1935, at St. John's Catholic Church in Waterloo. He died in 1996.

Mrs. Townsend was a homemaker.She was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of America.

Survivors include: a son, Jim (Karen) of St. Louis; two daughters, Nancy (Tom) Van Ee of Cedar Falls and Mary (Ron) Silverson of St. Petersburg, Fla.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Wayne Trebon; and a sister, Nannette Thompson.

Memorial services: Wednesday at Woodside Hospice, Dunedin, where there will be a Catholic mass at 3 p.m. on March 5. Burial will be in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Dunedin. Eternal Rest Memories Park Funeral Home, Dunedin, is in charge of arrangements.
