Research notes for William

While I don't have much in the way of solid evidence for the following, it seems to fit. Here's what looks like happened...
Wm Townsend was born William M Emery in 1913 to Harry Webster Emery (1879-1948) and Ina Olive Davis (1881-1921). How he and his brother Harry came to live with Patrick H Townsend (1874-1952) and Catherine R McGuire (1875-1955) is not known. I would assume this happened after the death of his mother, Ina in 1921. Presumably via adoption, Wm started going by William Emery Townsend. Thereafter he listed Patrick and Catherine as his parents.
