BERGER -Sister Maya IHM, Mary Lynette Berger, died peacefully at her home on Mother's day. She was nurtured to the end by the love and support of her Immaculate Heart Community, family and friends. Born 1938 in Los Angeles to Inez Westfall and Paul Francis Berger, she is survived by her family; Sister Inez Marie Berger SHCJ, Paul and Gretchen Berger and Peter and Eliane Berger. Mary loved her family of 16 nieces and nephews and their 19 children. She devoted thirty years of her life teaching first graders in the Bay area. Celebration of the Mass will be Thursday, May 15, 2003, 10:00 A.M. at Holy Family Church, 1501 Fremont Ave., South Pasadena. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Immaculate Heart Community, 5515 Franklin Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028.
