Charlotte C. (nee: Thate) Heiligenthal, 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, January 2, 2011. She was born August 20, 1926, to Arthur and Marie (nee: Arndt) Thate in Milwaukee. She retired from Foster Forbes Glass Factory after 23 years. Among her interests were collecting recipes, John Wayne Westerns, Bingo, and having her cup of coffee with family and friends. Beloved mother of Mark (Donna), Dale (Mary), Lois (John) Elblein, Gary (Jackie), James (Julie), Robin (Paul) Monteith, and Julie (Roger) Koldeway. Sister of Shirley (Harry) Heiligenthal and David (Kathy) Thate. Charlotte is survived by her cherished 23 grandchildren, 17 great-grand- children and two on the way. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives; and her dear friends at Riverview Manor, especially Betty and Ethel; and dear friend, Sr. Mary Joyce Merten. Preceded in death by Edgar Heiligenthal; and her beloved granddaughter, Amy Heiligenthal. A Memorial gathering will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 417 South Kane Street, Burlington, on Thursday, January 6, 2011, from 3 until 5 p.m. A Memorial service to follow at 5 p.m. Officiating, Pastor Rob Bolling.
