John J. Barbian, Route 2, Almond, died at Wild Rose Hospital Wednesday morning. He lived at Wild Rose Manor since February and had been ill Since May 1981.
A memorial service will be announced later. The body is being cremated, and there will be no visitation. A memorial has been established through M&I Bank, Almond. Gasperic Funeral Home, Plainfield, is handling arrangements.
Mr. Barbian was born Dec. 27, 1896, in New Munster, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Barbian. He was married to Lucille Cramer July 27, 1938, in Waterford. She survives. The couple lived in Burlington where Mr. Barbian worked for Union Chevrolet Co. 13 years. They then moved to East Troy, and he was employed by Trent Tube Co. After retiring in 1962, they moved to Almond. He worked part time for James Burns and Sons farm a few years.
Survivors besides his wife include six sons, Kenneth, Sheboygan, LeRoy, Oshkosh, Phillip, Ronald and Wallace, all at home, and Rick, Almond; one daughter, Mrs. David (Shirley) Landowski, Oshkosh; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers, Leo, Salem, and Harry, Burlington; and two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Dora) Lenz, Salem, and Mrs. Florence Wilson, Burlington. He was preceded in death by one son and two brothers.
