Ben Richter, Age 78, Dies of Heart Attack

 

Ben Richter, 78, Wheatland, died Monday afternoon at his home following a heart aitack. Born in Wheatland, Dec. 6, 1877, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alphons Richter, he received his education in the county schools.

Richter, a lifetime farmer, served on the Wheatland school hoard for many years, and was a member of the Kenosha County Fair association, St. Alphonsus church, New Munster, and the Holy Name society.

Survivors are two sons, Leon, Burlington; Bert, Wheatland; a sister, Mrs. Peter Schlax. Kenosha; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Rose Bopp, Frank A., and Miss Amelia Richter.

RICHTER-Funeral services for the late Ben H. Richter, of Wheatland, Wis., will be held Friday morning. May 20th at 9:30 a.m. from McCarthy Funeral Home, Burlington, and at 10:00 a.m. from St. Alphonsus church. Interment New Munster cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon on Wednesday.
