Bert H. Richter, 84, 34622 63rd St., New Munster, died Monday (Sept. 18, 1995) at his home.
Born March 12, 1911 in Wheatland, he was the son of the late Bernard H. and Margaret A. (Epping) Richter. He attended Wheatland and St. Alphonsus Grade schools.
On Sept. 2, 1933, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Brighton, he married Lucille E. Daniels.
A self-employed farmer in Wheatland, he lived there until moving to New Munster in 1977.
He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Catholic Order of Foresters of New Munster and Burlington Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Dale, Lily Lake; five daughters, Margie Kerr, Gurnee, Ill., Doris Esmond, Lake Geneva, Joanne Ross, Paddock Lake, Patricia Vos, Burlington, and Rose Pfanzelter, Libertyville, Ill.; 25 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were a daughter, Darlene Aldrich, and a brother, Leon Richter.
Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, Burlington, is in charge of arrangements.
RICHTER - Services for the late Bert Richter of Burlington, will be held Thursday, Sept. 21, 1995 at 11:00 A.M. from St. Alphonsus Church, New Munster. Friends may call at The Schuette Daniels Funeral Home, 625 S. Browns Lake Drive., Burlington, on Wed. Sept 20 from 4 to 8 P.M. Prayer Vigil 7:30 P.M. Interment at St. Alphonsus Cemetery, New Munster.
