Rosalie J. Schlax, 90, 6535 Seventh Ave., died Friday (Dec. 11, 1992) at Hospitality Manor Nursing Home, 8633 32nd Ave.
Born Nov. 24, 1902, in Racine, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Katherine (Fritz) Spakowicz.
She moved to Kenosha as a child and attended schools here.
On July 16, 1928, she married Leslie Schlax in Kenosha. He died March 28, 1989.
She was secretary and bookkeeper for the Schlax Insurance Agency and retired in 1977.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Catherine's Hospital Auxiliary and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.
Surviving is a sister, Adele Rose, Kenosha.
She was preceded in death by a son, James, on March 7, 1990, a brother and two sisters.
The Bruch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
SCHLAX-Funeral services for the late Rosalie J. Schlax of 6235 7th Ave., who passed away on December 11th, will be held on Tuesday, December 15th at 9:00 A.M. from the Bruch Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 A.M. from st. Mary Catholic Church. Entombment will be in All Saints Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Bruch Funeral Home after 6:00 P.M on Monday. Prayer service will be at 7:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.
