Fred Richter passed away at his home here after a lingering illness Tuesday morning. The deceased was 48 years of age and was born in Brillion April 8, 1883. He was married to Miss Flora Lilliwitz April 7, 1908 at Menominee, Mich. and the young couple came to Brillion where they have made their home since that time. For many years Mr. Richter was a rural mail carrier on route No. 3 Brillion until his illness prevented him from carrying on his work. He underwent several operations and had been ailing since last July. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Ione and Myrtice, and one son, Russell, all at home, one sister, Mrs. Wm Krause of Marshfield, and one brother, Fergie Richter of Brillion.
Mr. Richter was always an active member of the local I. O. O. F. lodge and the Odd Fellows will have charge of the funeral services which will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 at the Masonic temple here, Rev. Worthman of Kiel officiating. The pall bearers will be Fred Hagenow of Reedsville, Edward Engel, Max and Albert Schuler, Otto Zander and Charles R. Barnard of Brillion. Burial will be at the south side cemetery.
