Formerly of New London, age 87, died Wednesday in Florida. He was born June 6, 1893 in New London. Mr. Herres was employed for 20 years as a power engineer at the Outagamie County Hospital. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Florida, the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Survivors include his wife, Marion; three sons: Sherman, King; Harold, Green Bay; and Anton W., New London; four daughters: Mrs. Arthur (Regina) Fischer, Fremont; Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Craig, Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. Mary Knorr, Shiocton; and Mrs. Herbert (Teddy) Pagel, Appleton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London, with the Rev. William Kuhr officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday and until the hour of the service Saturday. There will be a parish prayer service at 8 Friday evening.
