Born on October 30, 1933 to Kenneth and Maxine Flickenger (deceased). She was a third generation Arizonian. She attended Emerson Grade School and graduated from North High School in 1951. While in high school she and her sister held many swimming records for the Southwest United States. She attended the University of Arizona where she was a member of the Theda's. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper and a secretary while raising her children. After retirement she was a resident of Pinewood, Arizona and San Carlos, Mexico. Darlene enjoyed golfing, fishing and card games. Darlene passed away on January 9, 2004. She was preceded in death by her daughter Tiki Robertson Goda, her brother, Kenneth Flickenger Jr., and her husband Donald Oskerson. Darlene is survived by her twin sister Diane Newlon, her children Teri (Bob) Membery, Randi (Deb) Robertson, Tanya (Mike) Boggs, Trisha Robertson. Traci Schimdt, Two stepdaughters, Kim Boaz and Brenda Rardon, eighteen grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to Rescate Services Inc. PMB 318 N. Campbell, Tucson, AZ 85719-3304. Services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2004 at 1pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at 5342 N. 40th Drive, Phoenix.
