Age 63. Passed away on Monday, June 11, 1984, at his residence. He was born in Racine on April 14, 1921, and was a lifelong resident. He was married to the former Rita Puffer in Racine on October 26, 1949. He was owner and operator of City Service Gas Station on Douglas Ave. for 15 years. Mr. Gutzman worked for Twin Disc 17 years before retirement in 1978. He was a member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church and the Racine Moose Lodge No. 437. Surviving are his wife, Rita; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert (Cheryl) Gutzman Jr. of Racine; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Jack (Barbara) Eyman, David (Patricia) Bequeaith, Daniel (Lorraine) Owen, Rita Gutzman, all of Racine; five grandchildren, Gary Eyman, Cori and Heidi Gutzman, Courtney and Ryan Bequeaith; mother, Mrs. Lillian Gutzman; sister, Lorraine Gutzman, both of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, William Gutzman. Funeral services be held on Thursday, June 14, at 10:30 a.m. at the STROUF-SHEFFIELD FUNERAL HOME, 1001 High St., and the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church celebrated by Rev. Gerald Schmitz. Interment will be at Holy Cross Hwy. 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Wednesday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m.
