Age 86. Passed away on Friday, June 7, 1985, at her residence. Mrs. Gutzman was born in Racine on April 24, 1899, to John and Caroline (Rossmiller) Hoffman, and was a lifelong resident. On December 4, 1918, she was united in marriage to William Gutzman. She was a member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, The Christian Ladies at St. John Nepomuk, and the Auxiliary of American Legion Post No. 76. Surviving are one daughter, Lorraine Gutzman of Racine; one daughter-in-law, Rita Gutzman of Racine; five grandchildren, Barbara (Jack) Eyman, Robert (Cheryl) Gutzman, Patricia (David) Bequeaith, Lorraine (Daniel) Owens, Rita Gutzman; five great-grandchildren; also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, in 1975, one son, Robert Gutzman in 1984, and infant twins and two sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 10, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, with father David Malloy officiating. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy. 12. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Sunday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the STROUF-SHEFFIELD FUNERAL HOME, 1001 High St., with Parish Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church.
