Age 78. Passed away Sunday, June 6, 1976 at the Mt. Carmel Care Center in Burlington. Mrs. Hertel was born on July 22, 1897 in Burlington, Wis. to John C. and Carrie (Rossmiller) Hoffman. She spent her early life and was educated in Racine. She was a retired Practical Nurse. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Lillian Gutzman of Racine; two nieces, Lorraine Gutzman of Racine and Mrs. Donald (Jean) Buchman of Milwaukee; two nephews, Robert Gutzman of Racine and Alfred Wieners of Galesburg, Ill. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 8 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Burlington. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call this (Monday) evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at the McCARTHY-KOENIG FUNERAL HOME, 101 E. State St., Burlington. The Vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m. this evening at the Funeral Home.
