Donna M. Smazal, 74 of Marshfield died on Monday morning, December 8, 2014 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:30pm Friday at St. John's Catholic Church in Marshfield with Fr. Sam Martin officiating. Kathy Heuer along with St. Johns Funeral Choir will provide the music. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield.
Visitations will be from 4-8pm Thursday at St. John's Catholic Church and again on Friday at the church from 1:30 pm until service time. There will be a 4pm rosary service Thursday by the PCCW at the church.
Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Donna was born on September 15, 1940 in Neillsville to William and Anna (Hemmersbach) Arndt. She was united in marriage to Harvey D. Smazal on September 26, 1959 at St. John's Church and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2009 and 55th this past September.
Donna was a housewife and did babysitting for children. She retired as a janitor for St. John's Parish and School after 28 years of service alongside her husband. She loved polka dancing, cooking, crocheting and being with her husband and daughter.
Donna is survived by her husband Harvey and daughter Shari both of Marshfield.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother and another brother Norman Arndt.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gail and staff in the Oncology Department and staff on 8N at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital.
