William G. Arndt, 74, died at 5 a.m. today at his home, 1115 E. Doege St. He had been in ill health for two years.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph M, Martinson, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Wednesday and until services Thursday at Rembs, Kundinger Chapel. St. John's Rosary-Altar Society wil recite a rosary at 3 p.m. Wednesday followed by a parish vigil at 8.
Mr. Arndt was born Dec, 25, 1903 in Burlington. He attended St. Mary's Parochial School there and as a young man moved to this area. He farmed in the Granton and Neillsville area and in 1953 moved to Marshfield where he worked for Rollohome Corp., retiring in 1967.
He married Anna K. Hemmersbach Aug. 10, 1926 in Bakerville. She survives. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society.
Also surviving are one son, Norman A., Marshfield, and one daughter, Mrs. Harvey (Donna) Smazal, Marshfield; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Mayme) Thate, Burlington, and Mrs. Leland (Laura) Merril, Monroe. He was predeceased by one son and one sister.
