Bernard H. Hofner, 91, New Munster, Saturday at Burlington Memorial Hospital.
He was born in the Town of Wheatland on Nov. 10, l885, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman T. Hofner, and spent his early life there. He attended St. Alphonsus school in New Munster.
On Oct. 15, 1907, at St. Alphonsus church, he married Dorothy Elbert. She died on June 17, 1974.
He resided in Lyons, Wis., for four years after his marriage, then moved to New Munster.
Mr. Hofner was a salesman and a member of St. Alphonsus church the Holy Name society of the church.
Survivors are a son, Charles, Flagstaff, Ariz.; a daughter, Mrs. Marion Rossmiller, Burlington; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert; two brothers, and a sister.
HOFNER—Funeral services for the late Bernard H. Hofner of New Munster, WI, who passed away Jan. 1, 1977 at Memorial Hospital in Burlington, will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in New Munster. Interment in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today, Monday at McCarthy Koenig Funeral Home, 101 East State, Burlington, WI. Rosary 7:30 p.m. Monday.
