William Busch, 72, Dies At Burlington Hospital
William Busch, 72, a lifelong resident of Wheatland, died Sunday evening at the Burlington Memorial hospital following a brief illness.
He was born Oct. 27, 1876, and attended the St. Alphonsus school in New Munster and the Wheatland school.
A member of the Weiss Court of Foresters, he also was a member of the Holy Name society of St. Alphonsus church.
On Aug. 22, 1902, he married Miss Eleanor Lois of New Munster who preceded him in death on April 26, 1909. On Jan. 28, 1913, he married Miss Mary Uhlenhake at St. Mary's church in Burlington.
Surviving are his widow, Mary, of Wheatland, three daughters, Mrs. Sylvester Richter, Burlington, Mrs. Gilbert Kerkman, Slades Corners, and Mrs. George Schlitz, Wheatland; four sons, Albert, William and Robert of Wheatland and Francis of Brighton; four brothers, Henry, John and Alfred, Burlington, and Edward of Brighton; four sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Ketterhagen, Thorpe, Wis., Mrs. Ben Ketterhagen, Mrs. Alfred Sobbe, and Mrs. Charles McCourt, all of Burlington; and 13 grandchildren.

BUSCH, William F.
William F. Busch, 72, retired farmer and lifelong resident of Burlington township, died at Burlington Memorial hospital following a two weeks' illness. Mr. Busch would have been 73 on Thursday, Oct. 27.
William Busch was born on the Busch homestead in southern Burlington township Oct. 27, 1876, to John and Mary Busch. He was educated at St. Alphonsus parish school New Munster.
Mr. Busch was married to Mary Uhlenhake at St. Mary's church, Burlington, on Jan. 28, 1913, following the death of his first wife, the former Eleanor Lois.
Mr. Busch farmed in Burlington township, remaining active until his retirement in recent years since which time his sons have operated the farm. He was a life-long member of St. Alphonsus parish, New Munster, and a member of the Holy Name society there and of the Catholic Order of Foresters.
The remains will be taken from the McCarthy Rueter & Haas funeral home to the Busch home where they will lie in state until the funeral service.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock from St. Alphonsus church with a nephew of the deceased, the Rev. Leonard Busch of St. Francis seminary, officiating. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus cemetery.
Surviving the deceased are his wife Mary, three daughters, Mrs. Sylvester Richter, Burlington; Mrs. Gilbert Kerkman, Slades Corners; Mrs. George Schlitz, Wheatland; and four sons, Albert and William, Jr., at home and Robert, route 5, Burlington, and Francis route 1, Salem. Fourteen grandchildren survive.
Living brothers and sisters of the deceased are Henry Busch, Burlington; Edward of Brighton; Alfred and John, Burlington, and Mrs. Elizabeth Ketterhagen, Thorp, Wis.; Mrs. Ben Ketterhagen, Burlington; Mrs. Alfred Sobbe, route 3, Burlington; Mrs. Charles McCourt, Burlington.
