Werner Luke

 

Werner Luke, 78, Route 3, Burlington, died Thursday at St. Catherine's Hospital.

Born in the Town of Wheatland on Oct. 17, 1899, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William (Anna Richter) Luke.

He was a life-long resident of the Wheatland area and was a retired carpenter.

He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in New Munster.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. John (Rose) Kerkman, Brighton, Mrs. Lawrence (Arlene) Meyer, Bristol, Mrs. James (Kathleen) McCarthy, Burlington, and Mrs. Joyce Gallaher, of California; a son, Roman, of California; three grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Elsie VerHalen, Wauwatosa, Wis.

He was preceded in death by two sons and a brother.


LUKE—Funeral services for the late Warner Luke of Rt.3 Burlington, will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, New Munster. Interment at St. Alphonsus Cemetery. No visitation. For those who desire memorials to a charity of their choice would be appreciated. McCarthy-Koenig Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
