Anna Mae Dorsey, 85, of Rock Valley, died Sunday, April 21,1991, at the Valley Manor Nursing Home.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 24 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rock Valley, with the Rev. Donald R. Smith officiating. Burial was at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation was held at the Porter Funeral Home, Rock Valley.

Mrs. Dorsey was born May 1, 1905, in Rock Valley, the daughter of James and Mary (Keegan) Lowery. She married Albert Dorsey in 1935 in Sioux City. The couple made their home in Sioux City. He died in 1936 and she continued to live in Sioux City, where she worked as a waitress and cook at several restaurants and St. Joseph Hospital. In May 1976, she moved to Peru, Ill., to be closer to her son. In August 1981, she moved to Rock Valley and entered Valley Manor Nursing Home in 1983.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Linda Dorsey of Peru, Ill.; two sisters, Catherine Bogaard of Rock Valley and Mrs. Ennio (Veronica) Plume of Hemet, Calif.; two granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter
