Pauline M. Hayden, 84, Hartington, formerly of Rock Valley, Iowa, died Friday in Cedars Nursing Home, Harrington.
Pauline Appel was born Oct. 6, 1900, in Dundee, Minn. She grew up in Heron Lake, Minn., and married Earle Hayden June 23, 1926, in Dundee. After their marriage, they moved to Rock Valley and she lived there until 1977, when she moved to Harrington.
Her husband died Nov. 20, 1963.
She was a member of Catholic Daughters of America and St. Mary's Altar Society, Rock Valley.
Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Edwin (Lorraine) Schieffer, Hardington; Mrs. Kenneth (Margaret) Bonthuis, Sioux City, Iowa; and Julie Hayden, Omaha, Neb.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Brennen, Heron Lake.
Funeral Mass began in 10:30 a.m. on Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rock Valley. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
