Jennifer Jane Imbus, 37, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at her home following a long illness.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Leonard Funeral Home, Monona, with a Scripture Service at 7 p.m. Visitation also will be held one hour before mass time at the church Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Monona. The Very Rev. Richard Gaul will be the celebrant. Inurnment will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Monona.

Jennifer was born on June 7, 1972, in Iowa City. She was the daughter of Gerald and Colleen (Baumler) Guenther. Jennifer graduated in 1990 from North Fayette High School, West Union.

Jennifer was united in marriage to Michael Imbus on Oct. 16, 2004, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Monona. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, working on the computer and playing cards. She will be deeply missed by the many people who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Imbus, of Luana; her parents, Gerald and Colleen Guenther, West Union; one daughter, Alannah Ann Guenther, Luana; one stepdaughter, Jennifer Jean Imbus, Monona; one stepson, Justin Imbus; one brother, Jeff Guenther, West Union; and a host of other family and friends.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Hardy and Adaleen Guenther, and her maternal grandparents, Carl and Mathilda Baumler.

Leonard Funeral Home of Monona is in charge of arrangements.
