Daniel Martin Scholbrock, 50, died Friday, Nov. 29, 1996, in his home. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Jude Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Steven O'Brien. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, where a wake service begins at 7 p.m.

Survivors include a daughter, Angela of Cedar Rapids; and four brothers, Marvin of New Hampton, Reuben of Cedar Rapids, Syl of Marion and Vern of Palo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Daniel was born Dec. 14, 1945, in New Hampton to Joseph and Frances Baumler Scholbrock. He was an automotive mechanic for the Cedar Rapids Postal Vehicle Maintenance Department and a member of the postal union, AP-WU AFL-CIO Rapid Area Local. He was an Air Force veteran serving in Vietnam.

A memorial fund has been established. The casket will be closed at all times. Daniel will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
