John W. Kotz, 51 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Friday, November 25, 2022, at a local hospital.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Friday, December 2, 2022, at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, Iowa. Burial will be in Dakota City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until service time at the funeral home.

Johnny Willis Kotz was born December 18, 1970 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Austin and Viana (Mason) Kotz. John grew up in Sioux City, Iowa. He later moved to Minnesota where he stayed for awhile, then moving back to Sioux City where he resided. John liked his job cutting trees, and enjoyed doing it. He also enjoyed riding in Limousine's. You would always see John in a blue shirt, that's because his favorite color was blue; he even had a blue hotrod and a blue truck. He loved to listen to music and watch his dad play and sing.

John ended up getting Fredrickson's Disease which confined him to a wheel chair, but he never complained. His mom would always be bringing him new clothes, food, or whatever John needed.

He is survived by his mother, Viana Kotz, three brothers; Austin, Travis, and Jason, two sisters; Shirley, and Brenda, three nieces; Josie, Cardin, and Dian Kotz, nine nephews'; Dustin and Patrick Miller, Matt, Marcus and Tommy Leander, Baby Austin Kotz, Baby Travis Kotz, Bentley and Willis Kotz, great nieces and nephews; Baby Austin Brian Kotz, Baby Katie, Baby Pearl, and Sabrina Miller.

John is preceded in death by his father, Austin Kotz.
