Hattie L. Renz of Dunkerton Is Dead
Dunkerton, Ia.

Hatie L. Renz, 52, died at 6 a. m. Thursday at St.

Francis hospital in Waterloo following a major operation performed Tuesday.

As Hattie Eschen she was born Feb. 8, 1893, at Mendota, Ill., and was married to John A. Renz Jan. 17, 1915. She was a member of First Baptist church.

Surviving are four children, Ruth R., Kenneth J., and Mary Louise, at home; Mrs. Leo E. Hansen, El Paso, Tex.; six brothers, Arthur, Lament; Otto, Independence; Alvin and Albert, Stanley; Ben, Aurora, and Ted in the navy; four sisters Mrs. Peter Hauska, Lament; Mrs. George Kuper, Mrs. Harvey Latham and Mrs. Stewart Green, Independence.

Her husband died Nov. 7, 1939, an infant son, Mar. 13, 1927, her two sisters, Mrs. W. S. Boyd and Mrs. Henry Vierow, also preceded her.

The body was taken to the Brant funeral home at Oelwein.

ESCHEN-RENZ.

Miss Hattie Eschen, of Lamont, and John A. Renz, of Dunkerton, were married Sunday morning at 10 o'clock at the home of the groom's brother, Herman Renz, 237 Center street, Rev. E. J. Lang officiated. The couple will live in Dunkerton where the groom follows the contracting business.
