Esther H. Hansen, 87, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, Nov. 10, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home of natural causes.

She was born April 2, 1919, in Lamont, daughter of John August and Hattie Lydia Eschen Renz. She married Leo Hansen Sept. 13, 1944, in El Paso, Texas, and he died Dec. 18, 1983.

Survived by: a brother-in-law, Bob Platt of Waterloo; a sister-in-law, Elly Eddy of Cedar Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, John and Kenneth Renz and two sisters, Ruth Renz and Mary Platt.

Services: 10 a.m. Monday at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. today and for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
