CAROLINE KENINGER

 

Funeral services were held Monday, August 13, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Ashton for Caroline Keninger, 63, who died August 10 at her home in Ashton. Father Al Loeffelholz officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Walton Funeral Home of Ashton was in charge of arrangements.

Caroline Hatting was born on March 13, 1916 at Ashton, the daughter of Henry and Margaret Seitz Hatting. She was married to William G. Keninger on Jan. 11, 1937 at Ashton, where she lived all her life. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

She is survived by three sons: John and Donald of Ashton and Vincent of Sibley; eight grandchildren; four sisters: Bernadine (Mrs. John Arning), Evelyn Schierholt and Marcella (Mrs. Edwin Klein), all of Ashton, and Margaret (Mrs. Dudley Eben) of George; and four brothers: Martin, Charles and Harold Hatting of Ashton, and Donald Hatting of Sibley.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971, her parents, two brothers and one sister.
