William J. Ellerbrock, 83, of Lake City, died Tuesday morning, March 16, at Stewart Memorial Hospital here after a short illness.

Requiem mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church here by the Rev. James Fandel. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at Auburn. Arrangements are in charge of the Huffman Memorial Chapel, Lake City, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Ellerbrock, a son of Ferdinand and Anna Schwear Ellerbrock, was born in Sac County Nov. 2, 1887. His marriage to Leafy Clarkin took place at Auburn March 13, 1917. He farmed, anf for the last 20 years they lived at the present home southeast of Lake City. Mr. Ellerbrock was a Veteran of World War I, in which he served as a member of the 1802nd Barracks.

Surviving with his wife are a son, William, of St. Paul, Minn.; two daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Elaine) Mohney, Port Huron, Mich., and Mrs. Robert (Marjorie) Adams of Lake City; five grandchildren and three sisters, Millie Ellerbrock of Carroll, Sr. M. Edith of Memphis, Tenn., and Christine Ellerbrock, Fonda. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
