Frances V. Richter, 83, Kimberly, formerly Burlington, died Nov. 29, 2007, at Appleton Medical Center.
She was born in Kimberly on May 18, 1924, to the late Walter and Marie (Vanden Boogard) Van Eperen.
She married Robert Richter Sept. 3, 1955. They resided in Burlington, for more than 40 years and she had recently moved back to Kimberly. He preceded her in death in 1998.
She enjoyed her jobs at the Institute of Paper Chemistry, Kimberly Clark Corp., and 1st Banking Center. She was a member of the Memorial Hospital of Burlington auxiliary, enjoyed entertaining, cooking, sewing, knitting, baking, playing cards, dining out, shopping, and family events.
Survivors include her children, Barbara Richter, Milwaukee, Patrice Rothman, Minneapolis, and Ron Richter, Milwaukee; grandchildren, Ryan and Erick Rothman, and Mallory, Andrew and Jarod Richter; brothers, Bernie (Nita) Van Eperen, Arizona, and Paul (Barb) Van Eperen, Kimberly; sister, Lou (Gene) Schultz, Kimberly; sisters-in-law, Theresa Van Eperen and Dori Van Eperen; nieces; nephews; cousins; brothers- and sisters-in-law, and many close friends.
She was further preceded in death by her brothers, John (Evelyn), Walt (Bev), Joe, Hank, Ray, Donald, George, and Joseph; sisters, Mickey Saucer, Leone (Bob) Green, Johanna (Walt) Diedrich, and Leona Van Eperen.
The funeral liturgy was Dec. 3, at Holy Spirit Parish, Kimberly. The Rev. David Beaudry officiated. Burial was in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove. Jansen Fargo Funeral Home, Kimberly, handled arrangements.
A memorial fund in Fran's name is being established and will be distributed among Catholic Central High School, Burlington, Holy Spirit Parish, Kimberly, and the Alzheimer's Association of America, Chicago, in memory of her husband. Visit www.wichmannfargo.com.
