Elmer D. Ketterhagen, 82, Waterford, died Dec. 13, 2005, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 20, 1923, in Waterford to the late Alex and Caroline (Cramer) Ketterhagen. He spent his early life in Waterford where he received his education.
He married Marjorie Epping Feb. 8, 1947, at St. Alphonsus Church, New Munster. Following marriage, they resided in Waterford. She preceded him in death March 22, 1986.
He was a retired farmer and a lifelong member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
Survivors include his children, David (Jeanne), Waterford, Daniel (Mary), Burlington, Joan (Norbert) Hegemann, Rochester; Ann (Jim) Barnhart, North Cape, Beth (Keith) Jacobson, North Cape, Rita (Brian) Bills, Waterford; 27 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Fritz (Mary), Waterford, Sister Marilee Ketterhagen SSND, Elm Grove, Carol Brehm, East Troy; other relatives and friends.
He was further preceded in death by his sister, Veronica Kretschmer; brothers, Robert, Edwin, Richard, Ralph and Arthur.
Funeral services were Dec. 17 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. The Rev. Gene Doda Jr. officiated. Burial was in St. Thomas Cemetery. Mealy Funeral Home, Waterford, handled arrangements.
