Walter C. Bohannon, Sr., 85, Brandenburg, died Dec. 19, 2009, at his residence.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a member of the American Legion Post #220 and the Teamsters Local 89.

Mr. Bohannon is survived by his wife, Ruby Estes Bohannon; three children, Barbara Garrison, Teresa Livers, Webster, Walter Bohannon Jr., Louisville; a brother, Henry Bohannon, Florida,; a sister, Darlene Hardesty, Louisville; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Dec. 22, with entombment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
