Lawrence S. Kaskie
MONTROSE, S.D.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Church for Lawrence S. Kaskie, 83, Mitchell, who died Tuesday at a Mitchell nursing home.
Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Alexandria.
Mr. Kaskie was born Oct. 26, 1891, in Iowa. In 1912 he moved to Dolton and later to Miner County. In 1932 he moved to the Montrose area where he farmed until his retirement in 1948 when he moved into Montrose. He married Frieda Kies in Sioux Falls in May of 1957. She died in January of 1973. A short time later he moved to a nursing home in Mitchell.
Survivors include two brothers, R. F. Kaskie and Vincent, both of Mitchell. (Kinzley, Salem)
