Albert J. Kaskie, 69, of Steilacoom, WA. passed away peacefully in his sleep on Aug. 2, 1997.
Al was born June 14, 1928 in Rock Valley, Iowa, where he met his loving wife and best friend, Alice. He and his wife moved to Steilacoom in 1953 where they resided and raised their family of eight children.
Al served his country in the Korean Conflict from 1951-1954. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He will be deeply missed.
Al is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Alice; children: Jeanne Clark (Ernie), Mike Kaskie, Pat Kaskie, Trianna Larberg (Ron), Sheila Robak (Skip), John Kaskie, Joan Kaskie, Kevin Kaskie; and eight loving grandchildren; also brothers: Paul Kaskie, Rock Valley, IA., Frank Kaskie, Sioux Center, IA; sisters: Bernice Braaten, Canton, SD, Roseanne Bowyer, Alsip, IL.
Preceded in death by parents, Ollie and Anna Kaskie and brother, Davis Kaskie.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, Aug. 5, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. in the Evergreen Chapel located at New Tacoma Cemetery. Arrangements by Tacoma Funeral Home and Cemeteries 564-1311.
