The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at Holy Family Catholic Church, Security, for S.Sgt. Davis M. Kaskie (retired), 129 Norman Drive, Security.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family. The Rev. James Kane will officiate. Burial with full military honors will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Kaskie died Tuesday.
He was born June 29, 1933, in Rock Valley, Iowa. He had lived in the Pikes Peak Region since 1970 and retired from the U.S. Army in 1973. He married his wife Patricia Nov. 11, 1953, in Rock Valley.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post No. 38. He served in Korea, Vietnam and Germany, and received the Army Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, Mrs. Anna Kaskie of Canton, S.D.; two sisters Mrs. Bernice Braaten of Canton and Mrs. Roseanne Boyer of Chicago; three brothers, Albert Kaskie of Tacoma, Wash., Paul Kaskie of Hudson, S.D., and Frank Kaskie of Hawarden Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by the Swan Funeral Home.
