KASKIE, J. CLARK, 90, of Royal Highlands at Leesburg, died Monday, March 12, 2007 at the Villages Hospice House. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, he moved to Leesburg in 2001 from Albrightsville, PA. Clark was an avid golfer and fisherman. He graduated from Iowa State College in Ames Iowa with a Master's Degree in Chemical Technology, then earned a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. During the war he was assigned to the Manhattan Project in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, he later retired from Allied Chemical Co. Clark was a Past Grand Knight and 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus; he had been very active in several parishes throughout his life. A member of St. Paul's Catholic Community in Leesburg, he and his wife, Rosemary, serve as Minister's to the Sick. In his 80's he and his wife invented "Liquid Fence" an animal repellent for the lawn and garden which is widely sold throughout the United States. Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Rosemary (LeClair) Kaskie of Leesburg; three sons, J. Clark (Naomi) Kaskie Jr., Port Aransas, TX; Raymond (Darlene) Kaskie, Cripple Creek, CO; Keith G. (Debbie) Kaskie, Budd Lake, NJ; two daughters, Lark Kaskie, Austin, TX and Dawn (Russ) McEhaney, Klamath Falls, OR; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are five step-sons and five step-daughters, a brother Carl Joseph Kaskie of Hot Springs Village, AR. Clark is preceded in death in 1995 by his wife of 52 years, Rosemary (McLaughlin). Friends may call Monday, March 19th in the Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, Leesburg where the rosary will be recited at 7:30PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 20th at 8:30AM at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Leesburg with Father Kent Walker Officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be directed to the Transfiguration Monastery, 321 Monastery Lane, Elwood City, PA 16117.
