Oswald O'Rourke died at his father's home one mile south of town on Saturday forenoon at 10 o'clock of tuberculosis after an illness lasting over a year. Six months ago, Mr. O'Rourke went to Colorado thinking the change of climate might benefit his health, but it did not.
The funeral of John Oswald O'Rourke was held from Holy Trinity church in Ethan on Monday morning at 9:14. Mr. O'Rourke was 27 years and 3 days old, and leaves a loving wife and one child and his father to mourn his loss. He had been sich about 2 years with tuberculosis of the lungs and went to Denver, Colo. for his health about a year ago. The burial will be at Geinea, Illinois, where he will be laid at rest beside the body of his mother, who died a number of years ago. Mr. O'Rourke had a great many friends here who held him in high esteem and who will revere his memory. The sorrowing wife and father have the sympathy of all.
