Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 PM Friday, April 8, 2005 at St. Joseph Cathedral, Sioux Falls, SD with interment at St. Michael Cemetery, Sioux Falls, SD. Visitation will begin 11:00 AM Thursday, April 7, 2005 at George Boom Funeral Home with family present to greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a liturgical wake service at 5:30 PM.
Margaret "Peg" Andrews, was born July 26, 1926 in Petersburg, ND to Raymond and Stella (Meehan) Andrews. She grew up and went to school in Petersburg until the 8th grade when her family moved to Worthington, MN where she graduated from high school in 1945.
After high school Margaret was united in marriage with Alfred "Al" Koltze in Worthington, MN on October 18, 1948. The couple then moved to Sioux Falls where Margaret worked for Sunshine Foods, John Morrell Company and as a cook for the Little Flower School for four years. She then worked as the supervisor for the housekeeping department at McKennan Hospital for 17 years before retiring in 1991.
Margaret was a homemaker and in her free time loved knitting, baking for her family, reading, canning food and spending time with friends and family. She was a tireless worker both at church and at home and will be greatly missed.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Alfred Koltze, Sioux Falls, SD; two daughters, Ann Boehrns and her husband Lyle, Sioux Falls, SD and Mary Koltze and her husband Harvey Nyberg, Billings, MT; three sons, Jim Koltze, Klamath Falls, OR, Vince Koltze and his wife Sandy, Sioux Falls, SD and J.R. Koltze, Denver, CO; five grandchildren, Lynn Gillette, Julie McGraw, Jason Boehrns, Amanda Bultje and Alex Koltze; 6 great grandchildren, Jordan and Jared Hermanson, Katie and Easton Gillette, Ireland McGraw and Stella Bultje; sister Kathryn Kirkbride and her husband Otis, Colorado Springs, CO and host of other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family for lunch and fellowship at St. Joseph Cathedral following the committal service. Donations may be made to the McKennan Hospice.
