Of New Baltimore, VA passed away peacefully at Fauquier Hospital on Sunday, August 13, 2006. Scott was born in a Sod House on a farm in Lucas, South Dakota on August 4, 1914 and moved to the Washington DC area in 1941. Scott retired from PEPCO in 1978 and in 1985 he and Clara moved to New Baltimore, VA to be near their son and his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara on March 17, 2006 and a granddaughter, Lauri Anne. He is survived by a son, Joseph Helsing of Warrenton; and two daughters, Barbara Helsing of Arlington, VA and Judith Stein of Annapolis, MD. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Robin Simmons, Joseph Scott Jr., Karl Stein and Fiona Stein; two great grandchildren, Rachael Simmons and Caleb Walter Helsing. Services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Rapidan, P.O. Box 1715, Culpeper, VA 22701. Arrangements by MOSER FUNERAL HOME.
