RACINE
Jeanne Marie (nee: Schulte) Jacobi, 85, passed away Friday evening, September 22, 2006 at her residence.
Jeanne was born in Racine May 7, 1921, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roman J. Schulte. On July 13, 1940, she was united in marriage to Wilfried Jacobi by Monsig. Anthoney Wieler at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church.
Jeanne attended St. John Nepomuk Grade School and graduated from St. Catherine's High School "Class of 1939." Furthering her education, received her degree in Business Administration and Advanced Music Study from Racine Vocational College. Jeanne was a professional Organist, Composer, Music Teacher, and Poetess.
She was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church. She was an active member of numerous organizations including St. Catherine's Auxiliary, Civic Woman's Council. Musician's Union, life member of St. Mary's Hospital Auxilary and American Legion Post 21, and served as President of the Catholic Women's Club and Elk's Ladies. Jeanne was most importantly a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include her six children, William (Lynn) Jacobi of Arizona, Mary (Richard) Daniels of Franksville, Susan V. Jacobi of Kenosha, Charles (Jeannie) Jacobi of Minnesota, James (Linda) Jacobi of Michigan, Catherine (John) Ward of Minnesota; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchidren; one sister, Audrey Jensen of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfried Jacobi, grandson, Mark Anthony Daniels, and sister, Josephine Soli.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Edward Catholic Church, 1401 Grove Avenue, Thursday, September 28, 2006, 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Allen Bratkowski officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Kinzie Avenue. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to one's favorite charity have been suggested.
