Loraine Mary O'Dowd, 66, Big Lake, died Saturday at the Monticello-Big Lake Community Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel, Monticello. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mankato, 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight ,at the funeral chapel.
Loraine was born Nov. 21 1927, in Mankato to George and Gertrude (Hager) Kelly. She graduated from Good Council High School in Mankato in 1945, and then attended Mankato Business College. She worked as a secretary most of her life, and retired from the Leeby Company in Fargo in 1976. she later worked for the Citizens Bank in Big Lake until 1978. She married Cletus P. O'Dowd May 28. 1977, at the Church of our Lady of the Lake, Big Lake, and they had lived in Big lake since that time.
Survivors include her mother, Gertrude; husband, Cletus; stepson, Patrick O'Dowd, Big Lake; stepdaughter, Diane Gervais, Seattle, Wash.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, and brother, James.
