Dennis J. Buckley, 79, of Omaha, Neb., died Monday, Oct. 24, 2011.

Dennis J. Buckley was born Nov. 11, 1931, in Le Mars, the son of Daniel F. and Irma M. Buckley.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine A. Buckley; sons: John Buckley and wife, Kim, and Mike Buckley and wife, Stacey; daughters: Katie Taylor and husband, Don, and Bridget McNamara and husband John; grandchildren: Stewart and Jack Buckley, Andrew and Megan Taylor, Cate, John, and Erin McNamara; a brother, Charles Buckley (Barbara); sisters, Mary Kay Dunbar and Sheila Enders (Bill); a brother-in-law, Dan Doolan; and sisters-in-law, Diane Otterberg and Mary Buckley.

He was preceded in death by parents, Daniel F. and Irma M. Buckley; a sister, Judge Colleen Buckley; and a brother, Dan Buckley.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:15 a.m. Friday at St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha, Neb. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at St. Cecilia Cathedral, where there will be a vigil service at 7 p.m.

Graveside services and interment will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Cemetery in Maurice, followed by an 11:30 a.m. memorial mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Struble.

The Heafey-Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler West Center Chapel in Omaha is in charge of arrangements.
