Clara Hinkle, 63, a Mercer County native, was one of three victims of a Middletown restaurant fire, Saturday, Dec. 10.
Born June 12, 1925, she was daughter of John and Helen (Fink) Kramer. She married John Hinkle Dec 27, 1947, and be died in January 1986.
Surviving are son Bert in California and three daughters, Kathy Carderelli, Florida, Mrs. Tom (Carolyn) Busse, Newtown, and Mrs. Paul (Nancy) Penny, Franklin, and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Hinkle also is survived by five brothers and six sisters, Nick, Lockney, TX., Henry, Union City, Luke, Nashua, N.H., Mrs. Ralph (Alvin) Schmitz, New Weston, Mrs. Donald (Rose) Brown, St. Marys, Anna Jutte, Middletown, Mrs. Cletus (Agnes) Schmitz and Hilda Schmitz, New Weston, Mark, Ansonia, Joseph, Coldwater and Mrs. Ralph (Edna) Koester, Carthagena.
Two sons and a brother are deceased.
Mrs. Hinkle was owner/operator of the Baltimore Inn in Middletown.
Services were held at Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel in Middletown.
