November Wedding Takes Place In St. Marys Church
Saturday morning, November 21, at 8:30 o'clock in the St. Marys Catholic church at Ft. Recovery, Miss Kathleen Schwieterman became the bride of Leo Kramer. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schwieterman and Mr. and Mrs. John Kramer of New Weston are the parents or the bridegroom.
Rev. A. J. Cook, read the nuptial mass and performed the double ring ceremony before an alter decorated with bouquets of mixed flowers. Mass was sung by the young ladies sodality with Mrs. Marjorie Vondrell as organist.
Attending the couple were Miss Mary Alice Schwieterman, sister of the bride as matron of honor, Mark Kramer, brother of the groom as bestman, Alvera Weikert sister of the groom and Ralph Schmitz, friend of the groom as double witnesses. Agnes Kramer, sister or the groom was bridesmaid. Ushers were Bernard Schwieterman and Edgar Schmitz,
brother-in-law of the groom.
The maid of honor and the bridesmaids wore identically styled strapless red gowns of nylon net and velvet with velvet jackets. They wore a wreath Of fall flowers and carried bouquets with streamers. They also wore rhinestone earrings.
The bride given in marriage by her father was lovely in her strapless gown of French lace over satin. The yoke was trimmed with sequins, long tapering sleeves, buttons down the back and a very full skirt ending in a chapel train. A tiny cap of satin and seed pearls held her fingertip veil of silk illusion. She carried an orchid fastened over her prayer book, and a pair of crystal rosaries, a gift from the groom.
Mark Kramer and Ralph Schmitz, both attendants wore light suits and the groom wore a blue suit. The ushers were also attired in light suits. All wore white carnataion boutonnieres.
The bride's mother Mrs. Schwieterman and the groom's mother Mrs. Kramer, wore navy blue dresses and corsages of white carnations.
After the ceremony the young couple proceded to the bride's home and were greeted at the door by the bride's two younger brothers, Walter and Henry with an appropriate poem "The Marriage Blessing".
A breakfast was served after which the bride presented each of her witnesses with necklace and earring sets.
The bride's dinner table was centered with a four tiered Wedding cake, topped with a miniature bride and groom. The afternoon and evening reception was held at the American Legion home in Ft. Recovery.
The newly weds later left on a wedding trip to Texas. The new Mrs. Kramer was wearing a sky blue suit with matching accessories. After their wedding trip they plan to reside at 239½ E. Third St., Greenville.

Leo Frank Kramer, 45, New Weston, died at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday. He died as a result of an accident at the New Weston elevator.
He was born Nov. 5, 1927. He married Katherine Schwieterman in 1953 and she survives with eight children; Leo 18, John 17, Ruth 15, Marie 14, Dave 13, Jerry 11, Barb 8, Eugene 4; five brothers; Nick of Lockmey, Texas; Henry, Union City, Ind.; Luke, Mashua, N.J.; Mark, New Weston; Joe Ft. Jennings; and seven sisters; Mrs. Ralph Schmitz, New Weston; Mrs. Cletus Schmitz , New Weston; Mrs. Ann Jutte, Middletown, Ohio; Mrs. John Hinkle, Middletown, Ohio; Mrs. David Brown, Wapakoneta, Ohio. One sister and one brother are deceased.
He was a veteran of the Korean war, and member of the Holy Name Society of St. Bernard's Church. He was employed at the Euello Manufacturing Co. in Greenville.
Friends may call at the Brockman Funeral Home in Ft. Recovery from 1 to 10 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Bernard's Church in Burkettsville. The Rev. Gengler will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
