Martin J. Wilker, age 93 of Montezuma, died on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater. He was born on November 4, 1926 in Sharpsburg to the late Julius & Gertrude (Kramer) Wilker. On May 20, 1950 he married Madonna (Rammel) Wilker, and she died on January 29, 2007. He is survived by children, Esther & Tom Beyke of St. Henry, William & Marlene Wilker of North Star, Luke & Elaine Wilker of St. Henry, and Herbert & Doris Wilker of St. Sebastian; 24 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Eileen Wilker of Celina, siblings and in-laws; Jerome & Imelda Wilker of New Bremen, Charles & Mary Jean Wilker of St. Marys, Gerald & JoAnn Wilker of Versailles, Carolyn Mangen, Paul & Diane Wilker of Ft. Wayne, Marceil Wilker of St. Marys, Mary Ann Weitzel of Ft. Recovery, and Margaret Rammel of West Union.
Martin is preceded in death by a son, Martin Wilker; siblings; Lester Wilker, Wilfred & Ruth Wilker, and Bernard Wilker, and in-laws; Julian Rammel & Edna &Luke Rose, Cletus Weitzel, Ivo Rammel and Earl Mangen.
He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe church and the Holy name Society. He was a lifelong farmer. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 until 7:30 pm Friday November 22, 2019 and 8:30 until 9:30 am Saturday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com
