Martin John Wilker Jr., 51, Hartke Road, Celina, died around 5 a.m. June 12, 2003, in a traffic accident in Lawrence County, Mo.

He was born May 31, 1952, in Celina, to Martin Sr. and Madonna Rammel Wilker. They survive in Celina. On May 22, 1976, he married Eileen Baltes who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Joseph and Andrew of Celina; two daughters, Katherin (Ryan) Huff, Sidney, and Deborah of Celina; three brothers, William (Marlene), North Star, Luke (Elaine), St. Henry and Herbert (Doris), St. Sebastian; a sister, Esther (Tom) Beyke, St. Henry; and a grandchild.

Other survivors include his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Pete and Rose Reitz Baltes, Versailles; two brothers-in-law, Anthony (Monica) Baltes, Versailles, and Michael (Mary Eileen) Baltes, Doylestown, Pa.; and three sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Ned) Hemmelgarn, Celina, Jane (Ned) Kleinhenz, Beavercreek, and Donna (Jack) Matlak, Grand Rapids, Mich.

He was employed at Tuente Livestock/Trucking, Osgood, and Tigereye Design, Versailles. A 1970 graduate of Celina High School and a 1972 graduate of Miami Jacobs College, Dayton, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, St. Lawrence Men's Society and president of the parish council, all of Carthagena, president of the St. Henry Cluster CCD Board, a leader for Boy Scout Troop 101, St. Henry, past commander of Maria Stein American Legion Post 571, past president of the Maria Stein Country Fest Board and a member of the tractor square dancing team that performs there.

Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Carthagena church, the Rev. David Hoying officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with the American Legion conducting military rites.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
