Allen Flowers

 

Allen E. Flowers, 56, 1402 state Route 29, Wabash, died at 11:02 a.m. Jan. 9, 2005, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater. Death was due to natural causes.

He was born Feb. 18, 1948, in Bluffton, Ind., to John and Florence Pegan Flowers. On July 25, 1970, he married Connie Kramer who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Allen of Ackerman, Miss., Craig of Celina, and John of West Chester; three sisters[daughters], Brenda (Corey) Starkey, Reynoldsburg, Florence (Darin) Koesters, Portage, and Kathy of St. Henry; two brothers, Harold (Sheila) of Hillsboro and Chester of Celina; four sisters, Carolyn Younker and Kathleen (Robert) Hone, all of Celina, Beverly of Montezuma, and Barbara (John) Frey, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and 10 grandchildren.

A son, Robert, is deceased.

He was an employee of Chatt Home Restaurant, a member of Celina Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713 and a U.S. Army veteran.

Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Paul Flowers officiating. The body will be cremated with interment of ashes taking place at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Wabash.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or the Mercer County Cancer Society.
