Gertrude M. Kramer, age 94, died on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Edinboro Manor.
She was formerly of 3141 Oakdale Parkway, Erie, PA.
She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on May 5, 1914, the daughter of the late Julian C. and Joanna Johnson Pequignot.
Gertrude was a high school graduate, and she and her husband, Joseph, were Founding Members of St. Jude Catholic Church.
Gertrude was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Prior to her marriage in October of 1937, she was employed by General Electric of Fort Wayne, IN. and Allen County Indiana Infirmary. In later years, she also worked as a housemother for Villa Maria College and Mercyhurst College.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Kramer, and 6 brothers.
She is survived by 4 daughters: Joan McCadden and her husband Robert, Cato, NY; Barbara Brozich of Beaver Falls, PA; Martha Yeager and her husband Donald of Washington, PA; Julie Dell and her husband Tim, Edinboro, PA; 2 sons: Thomas Kramer and his wife Waltrude Regina, Gambrills, MD; Gregory Kramer and his wife Candace, Scottsdale, AZ; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th St. at Powell Avenue, on Monday from 1 - 3 and 6 - 8 PM and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 11 AM at St. Jude's Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
